Choose Books With Confidence.

FictionMark evaluates books for readability, structure, and narrative reliability—so readers know what to expect and authors can demonstrate quality.

What FictionMark Is

FictionMark is an independent book evaluation system. It analyzes completed manuscripts using consistent technical and narrative criteria and determines whether a book meets baseline standards for certification.

Certification is based on measurable factors such as readability, structural coherence, narrative continuity, and mechanical quality.

What FictionMark Is Not

  • FictionMark is not a review site
  • FictionMark does not rank or promote books
  • Certification is not an endorsement of taste, ideology, or commercial potential
  • Not all books submitted will be certified

FictionMark exists to reduce uncertainty—not to tell readers what they should like.

How Certification Works

  1. An author submits a completed manuscript for analysis
  2. The system evaluates the work using FictionMark criteria
  3. If the manuscript meets minimum standards, it is Certified
  4. Certified books may display a FictionMark badge and score

Criteria are versioned, published, and applied consistently.
